The double-sided printed circuit board has wiring patterns on both sides of the insulation material, i.e., the circuit pattern is available on both the component side and the side of the solder. Obviously, the component density and conductive lines are larger than single-sided plates.
Two types of double-sided plates are commonly used, which are:
- Double-sided plate with direct connection through the hole (PTH)
- Double-sided plate without hole-plated connection (non-PTH)
The double-sided PTH board has circuits on both sides of an insulation substrate, which is connected by metallizing the wall of a hole in the substrate that crosses the circuit on both sides. This technology, which is the basis for most printed circuit boards, is becoming popular in cases where circuit complexity and density are high.
The non-double-sided PTH board is only an extension of a single-sided board. Its cost is considerably lower because the coating can be avoided. In this case, the contacts are made by welding the terminals of the components on both sides of the board, where necessary. In the layout design of these boards, the number of solder joints on the side of the component should be kept to a minimum to facilitate removal of the component, if necessary. Generally, it is recommended that the conductors be made as far as possible on the non-component side and that only the remainder be placed on the side of the component.
When someone makes a circuit board, there are many different printed circuit board supplies that can be used to facilitate this task. Blank cards are cards with no circuit that is ready for custom circuits.
If you need these boards, there are many professional manufacturing companies for PCB and PCBA in China. They make the PCB production and offer assembly services with component supply to customers all over the world. Now China has a great reputation in the PCB industry.
