Product Description
As one who just started to learn to live independently, cooking is one of the things I had to learn fast. But the advantage for me is that I have a quick interest in this and so it came as a natural for me to start learning good recipes, and also the skills needed to be a good cook.
But I could say my knife skills needed a good practice as this is the one thing I cannot seem to grasp quickly. My sister, who knew about this problem of mine gave me a knife set as a gift last Christmas in order to help me out and see if I can develop this quickly.
Imagine my joy when I opened my gift and saw that it was the Chicago Cutlery Insignia 18-Piece Knife Block Set with In-Block Knife Sharpener. This was one of the best kitchen knives set I was already looking at a few months back when I was in search for kitchen tools.
I did not buy it back because I had to get a pan set first, and anyway I had my trusty old knife with me that came from our house when I moved to my apartment a few years back. It was still good, but the problem you see is that I started to learn that there are lots of different knives for different purposes, and one big knife like mine will give me a hard time especially with paring, or skinning small fruits and vegetables.

A set of different knives would be the perfect tool to use this time, and this gift from my sister was really a defining moment in my kitchen life I should say.
